Happy Edgar Allan Dolly Day!

Happy birthday to these two divas!

Others have offered their own poems to mark this occasion, here’s mine:

Once upon a morning dreary,
As I poured a coffee, bleary,
Yawning, stretching, weak and weary,
Trying just to come alive,

As I stumbled, tumbled forward,
Suddenly, I bumbled toward
An idea, jumping like
the traffic on the morning drive:

"Must we work, just to survive?”

Quoth the boss-man:

“Nine to five."
